About this work
A watercolor and ink drawing shows the remaining stone walls and pointed gothic windows of the former Bernardins convent, exposed at a street corner beside a row of multi-storey city buildings with mansard roofs and chimneys. Two cloaked figures stand near the ruins and another sits on the ground at the lower edge, while the road curves toward trees on the right.
