About this work

This two-panel print shows two women in patterned dresses and headscarves reading open books, set against stylized trees and a hillside. The right panel carries the title Contes pour les Bibliophiles, the names Octave Uzanne and Albert Robida, and the imprint Paris, Ancienne Maison Quantin, 1895. The left panel repeats the figures in a warm rust and navy palette with a title band in the center.
