About this work
This engraved title-style plate shows a classical palace interior with columns, arched niches and oval cartouches, where a winged figure guides two richly dressed young men past a group of allegorical women and a pile of sprawling bodies. The inscription Palatium Regina Eloquentiae appears across the central cartouche. The work is attributed to Grégoire Huret.
