About this work
A pencil and watercolor drawing shows the bell tower of the church of Saint-Nicolas-du-Chardonnet in Paris, with its Gothic arched openings, a clock face, and partly boarded belfry windows. A townhouse with dormers and a chimney stands beside it, and an inscription in French identifies the view and the corner of rue des Bernardins and rue Monge.
