A bearded old man in a long dark cloak leans on a staff and walks through a rain-soaked, rocky landscape under a lightning-streaked sky. A crucified figure on a tall cross stands to the right, and the scene is rendered as a finely hatched black-and-white print. The work is credited to Gustave Doré under the title Le Juif errant, from the Souvenirs d'Artistes series, page 199, with the date 1875 printed on the plate.
