About this work
A triptych-style panel shows a central figure of the risen Christ in a red mantle, raising his hand beside a radiant halo, while armoured soldiers sleep or slump at his feet. Flanking panels show two haloed women: one in a gold brocade gown holding a cup, the other in a red and gold dress holding a sword. The central scene opens onto a hilly landscape under a cloudy sky with a dove in flight.
