About this work

A lion with a full, tawny mane grapples with a crocodile on a sandy expanse, its body twisted as its jaws clamp onto the reptile's head. A hazy range of mountains and a pale, luminous sky stretch across the background, and the artist's signature appears in the lower left corner.
