About this work

It shows a reclining, partly clothed man at the foreground of a village scene, with a figure in green leaning over him, a dark tree with red fruit at the center, and red-roofed houses and figures on a path in the background. The bold outlines and thick, textured brushwork are characteristic of the composition.
