About this work
A graphite pencil study on pale paper shows a reclining female figure at left and a seated, partly nude woman with bowed head at right. The loose, quick lines and soft shading suggest preparatory figure studies. The sheet is signed Jean Brusselmans and dated 1912, and is held in the Royal Library of Belgium Prints Department.
