About this work
This 1934 etching by Jean Brusselmans shows a nude male figure drawing a bow in the foreground, while a winged Cupid hovers above him and a standing female nude rises on clouds in the night sky. A moon and a city skyline with an arched bridge and church spires fill the background. The print is held in the Prints Department of the Royal Library of Belgium.
