A colour-tinted satirical lithograph printed as the cover of the weekly Les Humoristes, issue number 4 dated 23 April 1911. A heavy-set man holding a champagne bottle pushes the bowed head of a woman who carries a stone tablet inscribed LOI, the title Soumission printed beneath. The work is attributed to Jean Veber, whose signature appears at lower left.
