About this work
A lithograph by Jean Veber dated 1914 shows a line of soldiers lying flat on open ground, rifles raised, while a kneeling figure with binoculars watches at right. Above them, objects such as cooking pots, a flowerpot and small fruit-like shapes fly through the sky, trailing lines of motion. The work is titled Planqués and bears the handwritten word and date beneath the image.
