About this work
A pencil and watercolor drawing shows old timber-framed houses with a small tower and chimneys beside a wooden fence, with a group of men and a boy in the foreground and an orange smoky sky behind. The inscription in French notes the old houses of the Place du Carré Sainte-Geneviève near the library, marked for demolition.
