About this work

A pencil sketch shows a multi-storey building facade with shattered windows, a blown-out section of wall, and debris scattered across the ground in front. Handwritten French notes label the scene, referring to the Palais Royal, a dynamite attack, and the commissariat de police at rue des Bons Enfants. The work is attributed to Jules-Adolphe Chauvet.
