About this work
A pencil and colored chalk drawing shows a turreted tower with a conical roof at a street corner, a wrought-iron lamp, a gated courtyard entrance, and rooftops in the background. The handwritten French inscription beneath identifies the Tourelles de la rue Hautefeuille at the corner of rue Pierre Sarrazin, with the Dupuytren museum and the rotunda of the former Célestins convent beyond. The work is by Jules-Adolphe Chauvet.
