About this work

This painting by Arthur Segal, titled Landscape, shows a cluster of simplified village houses with pitched roofs in red, brown and grey, set against rolling green and yellow fields. The fragmented, angular forms and bands of colour around the frame reflect a constructed, geometric approach to the rural scene.
