About this work
A pencil drawing on cream paper shows a seated woman in a stylized, geometric manner, her head resting on one raised hand while her legs are folded beneath her. Hatched shading defines the arm, torso and skirt, and the artist's signature and the date 1937 appear at lower right. The work is held in the Prints Department of the Royal Library of Belgium and is attributed to Jean Brusselmans.
