An orientalist interior scene shows a bearded man in a white turban and dark robe seated on a stone bench inside a stone archway, with red leather boots and slippers scattered on the pavement. Through the open arched doorway a tiled courtyard with a fountain and figures in colorful robes is visible, framed by a green lattice door and hanging brass lanterns. The painting is by Gustav Bauernfeind, dated 1891.
