About this work

This lithograph shows a narrow Paris street lined with old stone buildings, shop awnings, and a tall signboard advertising a Café Momus with billiards and fixed-price meals. Pedestrians, a man pushing a wheelbarrow, and figures in dark cloaks populate the street beside a church tower. The work is attributed to Thomas Shotter Boys, dated 1833, and titled Rue des Prêtres-Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois.
