A pastel and chalk drawing viewed from above shows a dense cluster of Parisian rooftops, chimneys and dormers, with a Gothic spire and flying buttresses in the foreground. The inscription reads "La rue St Jacques vue de St Séverin 1906" and is signed Ch. Jouas, as recorded for this 1906 work.
