About this work
A pencil and red chalk drawing shows a steel and timber caisson under construction beside the Seine, with a cathedral tower visible in the background. Handwritten French annotations on the sheet identify the work as metro construction between the Pont Saint-Michel and the Petit Pont, dated November 1906 by Charles Jouas.
