About this work

A pencil and colored crayon sketch shows Paris street scene with a large circular caisson structure for metro tunnel construction, flanked by stone buildings and a dome. Pedestrians with umbrellas walk past a crane, and a handwritten inscription in the lower right identifies the site near Place Saint-André-des-Arts and Boulevard Saint-André, dated November 1906.
