About this work
A pencil and colored chalk drawing shows a dilapidated stone house with a damaged blue-gray roof, open dormer windows, and a weedy overgrown garden in the foreground. Tall white flowers and reeds grow beside dark water, with apartment buildings and chimneys rising behind under a heavy grey sky. The work is titled Le pavillon de M. de Julienne, ruelle des Gobelins and is signed by Charles Jouas, dated 1915.
