A nocturnal harbor scene shows several crowded steam ferries crossing dark water reflecting lamplight and the orange glow of the sky. Industrial buildings, lit windows, tall smokestacks and the masts of a sailing ship line the far shore. The painting was created by Friedrich Kallmorgen in 1900 and is titled An die Arbeit (Hamburger Hafenbild).
