About this work
A vignette-style print titled Le Cidre shows cider production on the left, with men operating a wooden press beside a pile of apples, and a rural scene on the right where men seated at a wooden table drink from glasses and a jug beneath a flowering apple tree. Grazing cows, a thatched farmhouse, and children reading a newspaper appear in the surrounding scenes. The work is dated 1880 and attributed to Edmond Morin.
