About this work

A colorful lithographic theatre poster advertising the Alcazar d'Été revue, with a seated woman in a white gown at center beside a comic figure in red, a bearded man in a top hat, and a startled man being blown off a locomotive-like contraption. A chorus line of dancers in wide-brimmed hats appears above against a deep blue ground. The work is attributed to Alfred Choubrac and dated 1880.
