A black and white engraved print shows a robed female figure standing above a group of rifle-bearing soldiers, raising a flag and a long pole amid smoke and gunfire. Below, kneeling and prone fighters aim their weapons beside a scroll inscribed with the Latin motto Fluctuat nec mergitur. The print is attributed to Edmond Morin and dated 1870.
