A black and white wood engraving shows an allegorical scene in which a winged figure of Saturn holds a clock dial inscribed with the seasons printimps, été, automne and hiver. Below, two draped female figures move away from a lush garden of flowers and shrubs, while a shepherd tends sheep and masked revelers dance at the right. This print by Edmond Morin dates from 1861.
