About this work

This black and white print titled Noël shows a nativity-style scene with a shepherd holding a staff and a richly robed king wearing a crown, both bearing a manger holding an infant. A large cross with a radiant star above rises behind them, and a banner reads 'Aimez vous les uns les autres.' Evergreen trees and small figures frame the composition, with the word Noël in bold letters across the bottom, created by Edmond Morin in 1861.
