This etching shows a view of a crowded courtyard lined with multi-storey stone buildings, dormer windows and a turret-like corner tower. Carts, scattered chickens, figures in long dresses and laundry hanging from windows fill the street, with birds flying across the sky. The print is titled Hôtel passage Charlemagne 7 and is attributed to Alfred Delauney, dated 1866.
