About this work

An artist in an orange coat studies a sheet of paper beside a canvas showing a mythological figure, while a model with her hair pinned up looks over his shoulder. A parrot and a cockatoo perch on a stand in the studio, which is decorated with a carved cabinet, a cherub figure, and a framed landscape.
