About this work
This etching shows a timber-framed hangar with a steeply pitched roof and crossed wooden trusses, set in a courtyard between stone buildings on Rue Montorgueil. Small figures move beneath the arched structure, and a handwritten French note below describes the building as a 16th-century coach shelter. The print is attributed to Georges-Henri Manesse and dated 1906.
