This etching shows a cobbled street lined with older multi-storey buildings, a lamp post, and an arched doorway on the left, with pedestrians and a horse-drawn carriage in the distance. Handwritten annotations below the image identify the location as Rue du Cherche-Midi 37, the Hôtel de la Comtesse de Vérue, which was later demolished during the widening of the Boulevard Raspail. The print is signed by Georges-Henri Manesse.
