About this work
This hand-colored lithograph shows two Gothic architectural views in Paris. The left panel depicts the ornate red-doored portal of Notre-Dame with carved tympanum and pinnacles, with a figure in a dark cloak and seated people on the steps. The right panel shows a timber-roofed porch and carved doorway on the Rue des Marmousets, with a woman in a red headdress leaning over a balcony. Thomas Shotter Boys made this print in 1839.
