A watercolor sketch shows a stone building on a street corner behind a row of wooden fence boards, with a ladder leaning against the wall and tall chimneys rising behind it. The handwritten inscription records the first day of the demolition of the salt warehouse at 6 rue Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois on 3 August 1909. The work is attributed to Georges-Henri Manesse and dated 1909.
