A pencil and ink sketch shows a street corner with a shop bearing the sign Maison Petit and Tabac lettering, a large cart with spoked wheels on rough cobblestones, and a lone figure in a doorway. Handwritten inscription at right reads Rues des Acacias et de la Carrière Montmartre, 5 mars 71, Graphic. The work is dated 1871 and attributed to Gustave Doré.
