About this work
This watercolor and pencil drawing shows the entrance facade of the Carnavalet museum on rue de Sévigné, with its red double doors and street lamps. The upper facade is partly shielded by vertical wooden boarding, and a ladder leans against the wall. The work is dated 4 February 1918 and is attributed to Georges-Henri Manesse.
