A pale nude woman reclines against a rocky outcrop on the shore, one arm raised behind her head and her gaze turned upward, with a white cloth draped over the rocks around her. The grey wash landscape shows a churning sea and a cloudy sky stretching to the horizon. Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg made this work in 1813, and it is catalogued under the title Andromeda chained up to a rock.
