About this work
This hand-coloured design shows a Gothic-style arched frame filled with views of German towns along a river, including a central cathedral interior and small roundels depicting cityscapes. Heraldic shields, allegorical figures and stained-glass style panels decorate the border, and a printed inscription appears along the bottom edge.
