About this work

This study shows four magnolia blossoms arranged loosely across a pale, neutral ground, with two open flowers revealing green central cones, a closed bud at the upper center, and another partially opened bloom below. The soft grey and cream tones and careful modeling of petals suggest a preparatory botanical study.
