This engraved print shows a riverside landscape with a waterfall tumbling over rocks beside a ruined tower on a cliff. A fisherman with a long rod and a woman carrying a basket stand on the rocks, while a second woman rests nearby and a boat crosses the river toward a stone bridge. The print is titled First View of the Surroundings of Rochefort, after Joseph Vernet, and is dated 1770.
