About this work
An engraved print showing a fisherman casting a line from rocks while two turbaned men in long robes watch from a boulder beneath a pine tree. A sailing ship and a small rowboat sit on the calm sea, with a distant coastal fortification and lighthouse on the horizon. The French inscription identifies it as engraved after the original painting by Joseph Vernet, with the title below the image.
