This black and white engraving shows a coastal harbor scene with a large sailing ship, small rowing boats, and fishermen working on the shore beside a rocky cliff. A fortified building sits on a hill at the left, and a lighthouse and more ships appear in the distance under a cloudy sky. The print is titled First View of the Surroundings of Naples, after a drawing by Joseph Vernet, and is credited to F. Basan as engraver.
