About this work
This engraved print shows a rocky riverside landscape with tall windswept trees on a pinnacle of rock, two figures standing on the bank, and a man bending over a small wooden boat. A stone tower sits on a cliff at the left, under a cloudy sky. The work is credited to Joseph Vernet, with the engraver Bazan named on the plate and the title "Ière Vue près de Nice" printed below the image.
