About this work
A pencil and ink study shows a standing figure in a loose-fitting garment with a simplified, elongated face, drawn over a faint squared grid. The figure's arm extends outward while the other hangs at the side, and the artist's signature appears in the lower right corner. The sheet is titled Stehende Gewandfigur, by Ferdinand Hodler, dated 1913.
