A helmeted warrior in a red cloak grips a sword while a partly nude woman with braided hair presses an olive branch toward him and gently touches his armor. She holds a round shield behind her, and a dark wooded landscape under a blue sky forms the backdrop. This is Allegory of Peace and War by Pompeo Batoni, dated 1776.
