About this work
This watercolor drawing shows the west front of a stone country house with gabled dormers, tall chimney stacks, and a terrace supported by an arcade of arches. The elevation is set against a cloudy sky with trees at either side, and the caption along the bottom identifies it as the west front designed for Lilleshall, Shropshire. The work is attributed to Jeffry Wyatville and dated 1826.
