About this work
This watercolor and ink drawing shows the south and east fronts of a stone country house with gabled roofs, tall chimneys, and mullioned windows, set beside a row of mature trees and a balustraded terrace. The inscription beneath identifies it as a design for Lilleshall, the Right Honourable the Earl Gower.
