About this work
A pencil drawing shows Canons Park with a country house set on a rise beyond a broad lake, framed by tall trees on both sides. A swan swims on the water in the foreground, and the handwritten inscription at lower right identifies the seat of the Master of the Rolls, Middlesex, dated May 2, 1828.
