About this work
A hunting scene drawn in pencil and watercolour wash shows a man in dark riding dress and a low hat galloping a chestnut horse in the foreground, glancing toward the viewer. Behind him, a pack of hounds and several riders in red coats chase across open, scrubby ground under a pale sky.
